J25 Concertina Band

J25, directed by Claire Wren, has 14 members from as far afield as Kent, Surrey, London, Devon, Cornwall and Gloucestershire, meeting monthly at Ruishton, just outside Taunton, taking its name from Junction 25 on the motorway.

For the last two years, at the Taunton Music Festival, the band gained Distinction in their Class and has been awarded the Adjudicator’s Cup for outstanding performance.

J25 carries on the tradition of concertina bands by playing a wide variety of music including items from the classical repertoire to jazz and swing, from military marches to hymns and folk songs and more besides.

The online purchase of tickets (TicketSource) will be turned off at midnight on Friday 11th for all Saturday concerts, and at midnight on Saturday 12th for the Sunday concerts.
